My Name is Aaron Scamihorn. RONLEWHORN is a pseudonym. In a typography class I took parts of each of my three names and merged them together. I liked it. It stuck.
I have a passion for digital portraiture mixed with a love affair with typography and serigraphy. From doing screen printed gig posters for the likes of Mayer Hawthorne, Queens of the Stone Age, CAKE and the Naptown Roller Girls to feature illustrations in the magazines such as Usbek et Rica, Carne mag & Droga Mag, I have had the honor of working with some really rad clients. I’m always looking for great opportunities to get my work in front of as many people as possible. I was a finalist in the 2009 Layer Tennis playoffs and came back strong in 2010 with an exhibition match against Nick Campbell. I was also in the top 8 for the 2009 Cut & Paste Chicago battle.
I have the pleasure of working by day at an amazing agency, MediaSauce, with some of the raddest folk you can find in the Midwest.
