It is always a blast working with Dodge & Josh from MOKB Presents & the folks at LiveNation doing gig posters. I’m so stoked for such rad opportunities to get to do some work with some great bands. When the CAKE show announcement came up I reached out immediately to see if there would be the possibility of creating a screen-printed gig poster for the show. All the details got worked out and we did a run of 70 prints. This was my first piece to produce in my new studio space, so I had a ton of new variables to take into consideration. I’m using the new vacuum table, new Newman Roller frames, new paper, new emulsion and the conditions are different too. (*temperature, humidity etc) After a few failures and setbacks, I finally got my numbers locked in for burn-time etc. The amazing folks at Arvey Paper in Indianapolis completely came through for me on paper supply from the Mohawk Loop series. After getting giant 26″x40″ sheets, the folks over at Reprographix rocked it for me as well with a hand-cut session to get these down to a manageable size. With the help of my amazing wife, Ami Jo, I cranked through them this weekend and finally walked out of the space with the finished pieces yesterday. I’m headed to have them cut down to 19″ x 19″ and then I will stamp, sign & number them. Get Tickets ///HERE///
